At their monthly meeting on Thursday, February 26, 2026, the Republican Committee of Arizona’s 9th Legislative district enthusiastically passed two Resolutions to endorse local candidates running for office in this year’s election.
Bridget Fitzgibbons for Arizona State Senate
A Resolution of the Legislative District 9 Republican Committee
WHEREAS, Bridget Fitzgibbons has been a resident of Legislative District 9 (LD9) for over 15 years and has demonstrated long-term commitment to this community and our candidates; and
WHEREAS, Bridget Fitzgibbons is a committed Republican who has consistently supported conservative principles, candidates, and causes; and
WHEREAS, Bridget Fitzgibbons has faithfully served as an elected Precinct Committeeman within LD9, actively supporting voter outreach, candidate engagement, and grassroots organization; and
WHEREAS, the members of LD elected Bridget Fitzgibbons to serve as Secretary of the Board, and in that capacity she provided organized leadership, ensured accurate recordkeeping, and enhanced the effective and transparent operation of this Committee; and
WHEREAS, Bridget Fitzgibbons is a board-certified physician, small business owner, and recognized public policy leader whose selection as a Flinn-Brown Fellow and Dodie Londen Excellence in Public Service Scholar reflects statewide recognition of her leadership and civic commitment; and
WHEREAS, Bridget Fitzgibbons’
professional experience in healthcare and behavioral health provides real-
world insight into issues of public safety, family stability, and responsible governance affecting Arizona families; and
WHEREAS, Bridget Fitzgibbons has demonstrated civic leadership through sustained community involvement and advocacy focused on strengthening families, public safety, and constitutional governance; and
WHEREAS, Bridget Fitzgibbons is the sole declared Republican candidate for the Arizona State Senate in Legislative District 9; and
WHEREAS, since the creation of Legislative District 9 in 2022, Republicans have not secured representation in either the State House or State Senate; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Legislative District 9 deserve a State Senator with professional stature, policy knowledge, and demonstrated public trust to secure Republican victory in a competitive district; and
WHEREAS, early unity behind our Republican nominee enables this District to focus its time, volunteer energy, and financial resources on achieving victory in the General Election;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Legislative District 9 Republican Committee hereby endorses Bridget Fitzgibbons as its Republican candidate for the Arizona State Senate; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Committee commits to working collectively to secure Republican representation for Legislative District 9 in the 2026 General Election; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this endorsement reflects our confidence in Bridget Fitzgibbons’ experience, integrity, and readiness to represent Legislative District 9 at the Arizona State Legislature.
